You can choose where you entrance steps are located at. The concrete and vinyl lined pools have a bit more of a variety as far as design goes. Do some deliberation on what style and shape you want the pool designed before considering what you are going to use to mold it from.
In a pool made of fiberglass you need to allow water to stay in up to a recommended level during the winter months. This would not be good if you lived in a frigid area of the country. You would need to use concrete or vinyl lined in these areas. Your nearby pool authority would be able to help you choose.
To prepare for installation of your pool you need to first pick a location for the pool. One thing to think about is ease of getting to the bathroom from outside.
